TECHNOLOGICAL & SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH
The facilities, which will use trained manpower of Karachi, will be made available to entrepreneurs, investors and industries. KTiC will focus its activities on four broad technological fields:
- Manufacturing and Industrial Engineering;
- Information Technology and Multimedia;
- Biotechnology (emphasizing R&D), commercialization and human resource development; and
- Environmental Technology.
We expect that technological excellence in the above fields can be achieved when co-operation between industries and Government is enhanced. Co-operation in the form of research & development, skilled manpower development and international marketing is urgently needed in Pakistan.
Part of the long-term strategy is to accelerate and sustain economic development for the 21st century. Karachi will develop an implementation plan to establish smart partnerships between large international companies and local technology SME’s to ensure continuous innovations.
